Thread count describes the number of threads woven together within a square inch of fabric. A common misconception is that the higher the thread-count the better quality the linen is – that’s not always the case, as retailers will count each ply spun together in each thread – a multi-ply yarn. At Coze we use a single ply-yarn, which is a finer, longer cotton thread, resulting in the most luxurious sheets and a premium quality
At Coze we use two different weaves for our 100% cotton products. The first is the Percale weave, known for exceptional softness and durability. Product with this traditional weave improves with each and every wash and is exceptionally breathable. The Satin weave is more tightly woven for a heavier, warmer finish. Notable for its silky, softer feel, Satin woven product is ideal for all-year round use.
Our linen is produced with great artisanal expertise in India – one of the leading exporters of luxury cotton. We also work collaboratively with our colleagues to support and educate staff in an environment matching the very highest International Standards.
All our linen features longer staple fibres, which is easier to spin in production and adds to a more consistent and smoother overall finish
We recommend you wash your new bedding before you use it. Be careful not to include any non-textile products as it may damage the fibres of the fabric.
Storage is equally important for us here at Coze. Sheets need to be able to breath, so kept neatly in an airing cupboard is ideal, try not to store in plastic boxes as this can cause the sheets to ‘yellow’
Sheets will improve with each wash and should be changed every week. Try to wash on a warm cycle and to dry naturally. If you tumble dry use a low heat. Use a light detergent and wash alone at 40 degrees. Try to avoid overloading the machine or washing with other fabrics such as Polyester.
Allow your bed linen to dry naturally but if you have to tumble-dry, do it on a low heat and with plenty of room to manoeuvre
